Leena inclined her head once and brushed her fingers along her newly cleared desk. She'd finally been able to complete and file all the paperwork and information Lethe had let pile up. "It didn't take you long to complete your task." She smiled knowing what he wanted but waiting for john to ask.

Miranda easily dodged a strike aimed at her protected arm. "Damn. This armor is restricting my movement." The squads of men and women had been ordered to wear sparring armor. There had been to many reports of soldiers coming back to the medical tent. "This is not where I was meant to be." She knocked the man off of his feet with a gust of wind and laid her knee into his neck. The captain called the fight in her favor and pulled them apart. "I'm great at it, but my skills are better suited in stealth instead of this clunky armor." She pulled off her gear and pushed her hair to the side. "Awwwww much better."
Joy pulled back from Lazuli wiping her eyes. "I still could have helped." She sniffed feeling better that she was out of the medical tent. "Do you feel better?"

"Don't worry about it," Lazuli said, smiling warmly at the girl. At the other girl's inquiry she tilted her head to the side. "I think so, but now I'm just really confused."

"It didn't at all thanks to your wolves." John stood a little away from Leena's clean desk. "How have the soldiers been holding up since my absence?"

"What was that necklace thing he gave you." Joy pointed at the elaborate amulet that the man had given her. "It looks important."

"I'm not exactly sure," she said, feeling it through her tunic. It was roughly the size of her palm and etched with a language she'd never seen before.

Leena sighed. "Diligent enough though they tend to put more effort in play than training." She smiled "That and your charming redheaded friend stirring up her share of trouble."

"She'll keep them in line. They have caused their fair share of trouble in the past before." John leaned against a seat and could feel a breeze blow in through the tent. "She'll give them something to strive for, and they'll train harder to try to get their money back." He had encountered Miranda's type before, she was good to have around.

Leena obviously disagreed but would reserve her opinions till the end. "How did you find the wolves den?" She asked amusedly, still finding the irony in john getting help from such creatures.

"Maybe we should show it to Ember." Joy asked. "She might know what it is, or maybe someone here can tell us what it is." She shuffled on her feet not really knowing what to do now.
Much of the training had gone by without much trouble. She easily beat most of the others, while a few were actually able to hit her a few times. Well thats because she allowed it. The training was coming to its end and she was stretching her muscles. "Here you go, and there you go." She handed out money to a few of the officers now that they put her in charge of keeping track of the bets.

There was something in the back of her head telling her not to, but she nodded her head regardless. "Sounds like a good idea."

"Hearing and smell mostly. It was an easy find." John stood patiently not really knowing what to say for once in his life. "You made it out to be a challenge."

"Well they're no house pets." She smiled obviously keeping secrets. "I heard the pups took to you well." She settled down into her chair seemingly content to hear him out.

"I think they were the only ones to take a liking to me." He took a seat across from her leaning on his knees. "Not so sure about the older wolves."

Leena nodded. "The adults rarely take to anyone." She sighed. "Though frostfur, the Alpha there, Tends to find a sort of bored amusement by humoring those who come to talk to him." She smiled. "Learned that from Lethe no doubt."
