Eve smiled at the older woman. "Good, that thunder storm kept me up most of the night, but somehow I got some sleep." She threw a mischievous glance towards Vapor. "Oh that's right..... you don't know about my fear of thunder." She hadn't been on the small island when Vapor, and Kyoto found out. "She went to the front desk?" She thought she might have been changing in a different room. "Maybe theres a line or something. Or maybe something caught her eye, you know how kids can be."

The water calgor blushed a bit as he fiddled with his pack. The female water calgor smiled softly. "Ah, you have a fear of thunder? I have a fear of closed spaces myself."
"Well, we better go and see what's holding her up," Vapor said with a grin before making sure the doors were locked back up. "Everyone got everything?"
Mist nodded her head and once everything was accounted for and everyone was ready they made their way towards the front desk. From his vantage point however it appeared as if Kyoto wasn't at the front desk at all. There wasn't even a line. That was odd...
He could see something out of the corner of his eye and when he turned to look, he felt fear clutch his heart. Sitting in the lobby was Deluge, a very pale and shaking Kyoto in his lap. The dark haired calgor was twirling a strand of the girl's blond hair idly between his fingers.
Icy eyes slid up towards the three adults and his posture remained relaxed. "I'm hurt, Mist. Keeping me out of the loop when it came to my cute little niece. She's grown so much that I hardly recognized her, but it appears as if she's familiar with who I am. Just what have you been telling her?"

Eve freed on the spot. Her hand went to he sword hilt, but felt that it was missing. 'I must have left it at the island.' She thought as she took a step closer to Vapor. "What are we going to do?" Her eyes never left the man holding Kyoto. "How did he find us?"

"Deluge always seems to have tabs on us," Vapor said back softly.
"You do understand that I can hear you, yes?" eyes glinted darkly at them. His spirit beast was a wolf after all and that allowed him both keen hearing and smell. He stopped twirling Kyoto's hair between his fingers and allowed his arm to rest on the armrest. Kyoto looked like she was going to bolt at any second, but fear kept her grounded there. "Shall we get down to business? Vapor I would like you to come with me quietly. I would be most appreciative if I could finish the work I began three years ago."
"And if I refuse?" Vapor asked, trying to keep his voice even. Deluge's hand came up and cupped Kyoto's chin, tilting her face to look at him before his own eyes glanced at his younger brother.
"Well, I'm sure she'd make an interesting test subject, don't you think?"

Jack smiled looking in through a window overlooking the inn's lobby. The lunatic had spent several weeks tracking him down. He came close in Kalama when he destroyed the Restin's household. 'He's a hard man to find.' The rooms tenants sat in a pile of blood and limbs at his feet as he joyously licked at his blades. 'I think it's about time we made introductions.' He jumped out and up into the rafters looking down at the small family reunion. Blood dotted his torso and all down his pants.

Icy eyes slipped up to the rafters and an eyebrow arched in question. He filed through his memory to see if he could come up with an identification for the man currently covered in blood above them. Ah yes, he was Jack Walters. A man from Kalama who was known for destruction and death. To what did he owe this interruption?
Lifting up his hand he managed to block the kick aimed at his face from his brother, but the younger calgor managed to send a shard of ice his way. Tilting his head backwards he felt the shard of ice nick his forehead, cutting through his eye patch and sending it fluttering to the ground. How troublesome. Bringing his foot up violently he managed to catch the green haired calgor in the stomach sending him staggering backwards. Pity, he was hoping that would send him airborne. Though sitting as he was didn't give him much leverage.
Threading his fingers into Kyoto's hair he jerked her head back roughly, earning a startled choke of pain. Forming a razor sharp shard of ice in his palm he held it to her face. "Do you wish for me to start now?"

"Vapor!" Eve grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him back. "Stop, he wont do it again." She told Deluge trying to pull Vapor back. "Just calm down Vapor." She wanted to help Kyoto to, but she knew the time for action and this wasn't it.

The calgor allowed himself to be dragged back by Eve but the tension didn't die. The green haired calgor's eyes zeroed in on the hand not currently threaded into Kyoto's hair, but the one still holding the sharp piece of ice up to Kyoto's face. There was a low growl thrumming softly in his throat-a growl that wasn't quite his anymore-that he made die down with some effort. He had to be calm and reasonable. For Kyoto's sake.
"You know my conditions," Deluge said, tone suggesting that they were discussing matters much less dire than this. "Or shall I have two for the price of one? Either way we will finish what was started. Whether Kyoto's pretty little face has to be marred up to accomplish this is entirely in your hands." Then to make it some kind of mockery. "Dear brother."
The younger calgor seemed to start at the usage of a title that had long since lost its value. Then all at once he deflated. "Just...just let Kyoto go, okay?"
"That's a good boy." Allowing the shard of ice to melt the older calgor reached into his pocket, pulling out two metal bands and tossing them towards Vapor, who caught them. "Put those on."

"Hmmmmm interesting." Jack dropped from the rafters landing to the side of the arguing family. "What a lovely family reunion you have here." He slowly clapped his hands blood still dripping from his blades. "You're a hard man to track Deluge." He smirked at the antagonizing man. "You're just not going to kill the little brat? How disappointing."

He didn't even give Jack a side glance before speaking, "A broken tool will do me little good, don't you think?"

Eve took a step back not really knowing what do. The new comer was covered in blood from the waist down he didn't look to be sane. "Vapor what are you doing, what are those things?" She looked down at the metal bands he held limply in his hands. She looked to Mist pleadingly for help.

The calgor slipped one band on each of his wrists, wincing when they tightened like vices almost cutting off his circulation then all at once he felt incredibly weak. Figures he'd have them laced with something, wasn't enough that they blocked off his abilities. He looked towards Eve, "I'm not sure how they work exactly, but the block calgors from using their abilities."
Mist had a look of apprehension on her face both for her daughter and her youngest brother. She almost slapped the devices out of his hands, but froze when her eyes met Kyoto's frightened ones. She had...she had to let him go. The calgor gritted her teeth angrily at that realization. She'd have to give Vapor over to Del...there was no other option at present. "Vapor I-"
"Don't worry about it," he said, grinning brightly back at both her and Eve. "It'll be fine."
"We both know that's a lie," she ground out. Wishing for all that it was worth that she didn't feel so weak right now. So powerless. All he offered was an apologetic smile before walking towards Deluge.
"Well, you have what you want Del. Now for your end..." he remarked, looking irritated and nervous at the same time. Deluge stood, Kyoto still securely within his grasp as he reached out to cup Vapor's chin with deft fingers, tilting his face up for inspection. It was obvious he could see the weariness settling in. Vapor could feel it, settling deep into his bones until he felt like he was going to pass out then and there. Apparently satisfied with that weariness-not unconscious, but certainly less aware-the elder released his grip on Kyoto, dropping the girl down onto the floor.
She stayed where she'd fallen however. Too scared to move. Vapor bent down to ruffle her hair gently-though that movement about made him pass out then and there- before smiling brightly.
"Be good, okay Kyoto?"

"Kyoto." Eve took a step towards her and grabbed her by the shoulders. "Come on." She looked over at Vapor worried for his life. "We need to go...... Kyoto!" She yelled at the young girl to get her attention.

She finally broke away from her stupor, frightened eyes going to look at Vapor. Tears bubbled up as she allowed herself to be dragged away by Eve, barely managing to get her legs-which felt like they were made of jelly-to work properly. Why did it have to be this way? She gritted her teeth, upset once more that she was the reason her uncle allowed himself to be captured.

Eve picked her up and brought her to her mother. "Vapor." She called back strong enough to hold her tears back. She had no idea what to say or even do at this point. And with the new comer she was even more afraid of doing anything.
