He hadn't even noticed it was thundering until just then. The calgor moved over, drawing the covers back so she could get under them. "Hey, it'll okay. It's just a storm, nothing to be afraid of."

Eve quickly snuck in under the covers. "Thank you." She closed her eyes tight and held back a scream as more thunder rolled over the inn. Eve wrapped an arm around him and held him tight shaking. "Sorry Vapor, I know you don't like this." She calmed down a little bit as the thunder quieted down, but the storm was far from over.

"No problem," he said, trying not to think too much about their close proximity. Sure he wasn't a fan, but her fear outweighed his at the moment by a long shot and that's what mattered. "It'll be fine."
Eventually his body kind of relaxed into it and his nerves quieted down.

Eve was able to relax with someone right next to her. It was kind of like a security blanket, but it had to be a person. "You're very warm Vapor." Her eyes felt heavy as she talked. "Mist said you liked me..... is that true?" She really wasn't thinking straight at the moment, but she needed to know the answer. "I can stand it if the answer is no, so be honest."

"Hm, it's true," he said, watching as lightning lit up the room with a white glow. What wasn't there to like about Eve really? She could be stubborn and snarky at times, but he rather found that endearing. Not to mention she was good with Kyoto and he could tell that even Mist was rather fond of her. He just had to learn that it was alright to be in a relationship with someone. Which was hard because he hadn't showed any affection to someone outside his family in...well in a long time...
"Are you feeling better...?" he asked softly, glancing down at the crown of her head. Though he had a feeling he already knew the answer. She looked like she was about to pass out any second.

Eve held him closer the faintest of smiles appearing on her face before the thunder took it away. "Now that I know that." She closed her eyes and rested her head on his shoulder. "Thanks for being so understanding." Eve gently kissed him as her eyes closed and she slowly drifted off to sleep.

At some point in the night he had managed to slip out of bed and check on his sister. Her wounds were looking drastically better and he glanced over to Kyoto who looked completely and utterly exhausted even as she slept. With a knowing quirk of his lips he realized that she'd probably used her magic again when it had replenished itself. He wasn't sure if it was healthy to be exhausting her magic so much, but it was typical of Kyoto.
Returning back to the room he sat down in the chair, looking out of the window, despite the lack of a view. A deep sense of worry settled in his stomach for some reason, but he tried to attributed that to the course of events that had happened over the pass couple of days. Perhaps it was finally catching up to him. Ugh...since when had he started thinking so much?

Eve shifted in her sleep feeling suddenly colder. She bunched up the blankets trying to get the warmth back. "Hmmmm." She whimpered failing to get the warmth back. "Vapor." She said his name still half asleep. "It's getting cold." She felt with her hand trying to find him. "Vapor?" She sat up looking around the room bluriedly seeing him in the corner of the room. "When did you get up?" She rubbed at her eyes still tired. "It's still night, you should be asleep."

"I got up not all that long ago," he said, smiling softly. "I needed to check and see if Mist was alright and after that I've had too much on my mind to think about sleeping."
Again, he wasn't used to simply thinking so much. He himself had always been one more for action and silly antics than much else, but the nagging worry in the back of his mind was troubling. Standing up he made his way back over to the bed and slipped under the covers. Even though he would probably remain awake for the rest of the night.
Morning come not long later, beams of light gently covering the room, and faintly in the other room he could hear the others stirring too. "Morning already."

Eve stirred slightly at the sounds of birds. Vapor's words helped her wake up from her slumber. "Better get up before they come in here." She opened one of her eyes looking him up and down. "Don't want Kyoto to get the wrong idea." She smirked playfully at the Calgor laying an arm around his chest. "A most compromising position for a Calgor and a Human to be." She laughed softly. "Oh what will the people say?"

"Believe me, Kyoto already has an idea," Vapor noted wryly. Even before meeting Eve the little girl had always been a romantic, and now that she had someone who 'helped' with that it only encouraged the girl. He wondered faintly where she got those ideas from in the first place. Probably all those books she reads about knights in shining armor and saving the dragon. Oh, wait, that's not how those work...it was killing the dragon, yes. Technically being one himself-or rather housing one-that part of the fairy tale always mildly disturbed him, but he could see how a dragon could be the villain. His wasn't the friendliest after all. He blushed at her statements and looked to the side. "I don't think it much matters what others say..."

Eve blushed at looked the other way bashfully. "Oh.... thank you." The amount of awkwardness in the air was thickening. "Well you need to get out so I can get changed." She got out of bed and pushed him through the door connecting their two rooms. "No one come in!" She locked the door behind the boy and switched into her armor that she had wore the other day. "He didn't have to make it awkward." The blush on her face was still quite evident. "Doesn't he know it's rude to make a girl blush."

"Ah wait my shir-" but the door was already closed. Hm, well, guess he'd just have to wait. Turning he glanced back to see both Kyoto and Mist fully dressed and ready to go. Kyoto's smile was as large as a Cheshire cat's and just as mischievous. "Don't start..."
"Hm? What do you mean Uncle Vapor? Start what?" the blond said, feigning innocence. Stretching the blond haired girl made for the door to the hallway. Turning she jingled the keys. "I'll go and give the keys back to the front desk. Be back in a little bit."
With that said the blond made her way out the door and down the hallway humming a chipper tune.

Eve opened the door her blush thankfully gone. "Morning Mist, how did you sleep." She stretched leaning against the wall. "Sorry for pushing you out Vapor, I just needed to change."

"Pretty well, all things considered," Mist said.
"No problem," Vapor said, heading past her to retrieve his shirt and quickly put it back on. Once he made sure everything in the room was picked up and put back in it's proper place he made his way back into the room where the others were. "Hm...I wonder what's taking Kyoto so long. The front desk isn't that far from here..."
