Aiden couldn't keep quiet for long. He started up again as they approached the city; his embarrassment all but forgotten. "What are you shopping for?" he asked. "I've never been to a market before. Aunt demented always has the servants and slaves stock the kitchens and my private dinning area..." He was rambling now. "Today was the first time I've ever been to one. I wonder if I'm dressed suitably? Ms. Wacko would never allow me to be seen in anything less than my best let alone this!" He indicated his slightly disheveled attire that cost at least half the average family's yearly wages. "Oh, well i guess this will do. At least i wont stand out..." He finally paused to take a breath and smiled up at Slate. "Do you go shopping in a market often" He was completely oblivious to the fact that he'd just insulted her multiple times...

It felt like individual arrows where puncturing her skin at each and everyone of his remarks. Her griffin ears appeared and twitched, as they normally did when she was agitated. This guy was a complete jerk! Fists clenched and trembled slightly before she looked down. Calm down...just remain calm. A little Breeze with angel wings appeared in front of her, little cheeks bright pink, and eyes wide with twinkling sparkles.
"Slate, please remain calm! It's obvious he doesn't know any better!" she instructed, and while she'd spoken a second form appeared, it was herself, dressed in a black dress with little red wings poking out the back. From her auburn hair little horns poked forth, completing the little devil look.
"Pft! Yeah right! He's just pushing your buttons! He's just playing stupid!" she huffed, looking at the boy in aggitation.
"Don't listen to her!" Little Breeze squaked, feathers puffing out on her wings. "She's lying! He just doesn't understand! He's from a different culture, be patient sister!"
"Yeah right! Different culture, sure, but nobles have always been that way! Willing to step on the 'little people' to get what they want!" The little devil remarked, giving a fanged grin. "Or do you forget why your mother left your father?"
The little version of her sister punched the little version of her self in a very uncharacteristic way. "How cruel! Bringing up such a horrid event! You kinow full well why it occured!"
Both of you please just shut up... After listening to their fussing her rage eventually died down. It just didn't seem worth it at the moment. She heard his last question and blinked sluggishly before looking down at him.
"Not really, I don't really like shopping, I just do it when it needs to be done," she said with a shrug. "Sometimes it's fun though. There are times I play Ondi Ball with some of the local kids, which makes trips out here more fun."

Aiden looked at her with an absent expression then he exploded with questions. "What's Ondi ball?" "Can I play?" "Are the local kids around?" "Can we find them?" "Why do you do the shopping?" "Don't you have servants to do them?" "Why do people dress funny here?" "Can you teach me that?!" He yelled the last question, jumping from slate's side sailing through the air with slightly too much air time. There was a carpenter and he was creating a beautiful and monumental work of art. "I wish I could do that!" Aiden said wistfully. His eyes were growing larger by the minuet.

Both the little angel and little devil where blow off the girl's shoulder from all the question.
"You are on your own!" the declared in unison before disappearing.
How she wanted to run away...really just run as fast and far as her legs would carry her. Or she might just dig into the ground and hide with the moles for a while, that might be better, he couldn't find her there. His element wouldn't allow that. A rock settled into her stomach, he was in earthen territory! This was bad, there could be prying eyes anywhere. People didn't care about nobility when it was an enemy. They would probably kill him if they knew. Quickly the girl grabbed him and led him to an alley.
"Okay first off, Ondi ball is just a game where you kick a ball into a goal. Of course it's for earth calgors so I don't know if you'd be able to play. Not anything against you, it's just how we play, it can get rough y'know and a few rules require you to have those powers," Though she was sure there was probably a way for Wind calgors to play, if they made up thier own version. "And the kids only come out a sunset, the adults get really mad if you play during market time. I do the shopping because no one else can, I live alone, dad went away for business. We had one servent at one time but-" She looked down wishing she hadn't said a word about that. "She went with mother."

The Carpenter watched as the elder girl draged the cute curious boy into an ally. He was concerned. "Darn kids playing durring buisiness hours!" He motioned for an overseer to come.
Aiden was still gazing at the carpenter so he saw the official looking man being pointed in their direction. "Um... Slate?" He interupted her revier. "I think I have to go..." Aiden bounces into the air, out of sight of the towns folk. And latching onto a ledge volted onto th roof of a neiboring roof. He looked over the edge and shooshed Slate as the man rounded the corner.

"I heard there was a disturbance," the man said, and Slate turned around, trying not to look startled.
"There is nothing amiss sir," she assured with a curtious smile.
"That man said there was a boy with you, what happened to him, eh?" he cocked an eyebrow at her, and the girl felt sweat trickle down her neck. She had to think of something quick...
"Ah yes, he is visiting, I bade him to go and get something from the other side of the market, this alley way was ideal," she explained, her throat dry. "He didn't want to enter the alley so I had to drag him in. He got over it and headed off to get the items I'd wished for. I was getting ready to head back to get the items I've been assigned to retrieve when you arrived sir."
"Sounds believeable, but just to be sure miss, do you mind coming with me?" he asked, reaching out to snag her arm.
"Actually I do," she gulped, this guy was really tall and intimidating. Those pleasant smiles seemed almost fake, but she knew she could handle him. There was a problem though, he was an overseer, attacking an overseer was a crime. More importantly though, she didn't want to bring attention anywhere near here...

Aiden was a little too curious as to why the guard was angry at Slate, but he couldn't really leap down there... It would be too obvious that he was an air Calgor... He decided he couldn't allow her to be blamed for his disturbance. He'd overherd Slate's excuse so he thought he should play along. He sent a breese out and collected some erant materials and foods from around the market, not even realizing he was steeling. (not that he even knew what that intailed...) He snuck his hord back behind the market and onto his roof. He jumped begind the building with his arms overflowing with suplies and ran around the corner. "Hey Sis!" He yelled. "I got what you needed!!!"

All the color immediatly drained from the earth calgors face, what...she prayed to their ancestors that all of that had been paid for. Somehow she knew it wasn't, and the overseer cocked an eyebrow.
"Ah, so you weren't lying," he remarked, scratching his chin. "Okay then, 'suppose there is nothing more to say then, just don't go playing around you two. It's market time, and you can play afterward."
"Y-Yessir," she shuttered, unable to get over the shock.

Aiden smiled brightly, obviously proud that he'd 'saved' Slate from questioning. "Sis is dis enough?" Aiden ran to slate's side and started to push her in the oposite direction from the overseer. Only he wasn't touching her...
The overseer peered at Aiden. "I havn't seen you around here..." He remarked. "And your clothing looks too exuberant for the market place..." he said. The overseer positioned himself across Aiden's intended rout of escape, steping into a peculure breese that was flowing in an oposite trajectory than the one he'd just occupied... One that imedietly stoped...
Aiden was getting excited. He loved adventure. "Me boss 'ought me dis!" He quipped, somehow perfectly imitating the poor dialect of the orphans that they'd passed in the market. "I'm 'elp'n out at 'is 'ome!" Aiden was proud of his acting and quick wit. Danger really did bring out the best in him.
The over seer scoffed at the brat and turned to go. "trouble makers!" He mumbled under his breath.

Slate sighed with relief and turned towards Aiden, trying to reign in her anger. It began to bubble over though, and she grit her teeth.
"T...Take those back," she muttered, form shaking.

"What?" Aiden asked. Obviously not even considering the term theft. "Don't you need groceries?"

"I...I do, but not that way...you...you just stole," she said, her voice wavering slightly. If they returned them she'd be in big trouble. It'd take forever to pay them back. Her legs wobbled slightly and she leaned against the wall of the alley.

"Stole?" He repeted questioningly. "Like... A Scarf?" He was totally perplexed.

"No. You took something that wasn't yours, without paying for it," she growled, eyes narrowing slightly. "That's what stealing is."

"Paying for it?" He reached in his coat pocket, while balencing the groceries in air, and pulled out a fistfull of clattering silver penins. "like... this?"
