Saki slowly stood up looking from side to side. "Is someone humming?" The music sounded like it was coming from the hall. "Maybe we should get out of here."

"That sounds like a spectacular idea," Burner groused, not at all liking the fact that the creepy as hell melody was being accompanied by humming. Sounded like it was growing closer too. Unintentionally he got closer to his older brother, who put a hand on his shoulder, giving it a light squeeze.
"Come one, the sooner we get out the better," Salem said, making sure he kept both Saki and Blitz in his sights at all times as he went towards their only exit.

"Wheres Shizuo?" Saki turned from side to side looking for the man. "We can't leave without him." She tried to keep her voice low and calm as the humming grew closer.

"Dammit Shizuo, come out wherever you are, or your A** is getting left behind," Burner grumbled, keeping his voice low despite his irritation. Salem probably would've gotten onto him for language, but now wasn't the time.

Shizuo was in a darkened corner of the room. There was a reason he had known the story of this place. He looked at the pictures of the small three person family that hang loosely on the wall. His hand brushed the dust and soot off a picture revealing himself, a young woman, and a small child. He had believed Jack had burned this place down to kill him, but it was still listed as an accident. The fire had consumed his wife and child, the only two casualties of the fire. He set the picture back in its resting place and hurried to the others. "Whats wrong?"

"Do you hear that?" Burner muttered, his voice low as the humming grew closer. If this was a practical joke than Burner was going to make sure to ignite whoever was behind it. If not then they all needed to get the hell out of here. Because in what few urban legends he'd heard, spirits haunting somewhere generally wasn't a good thing.

Shizuo stopped moving and focused on listening. "Is that humming." He held his hand on the door pushing it open slowly. The noise was definitely getting louder but it didn't sound like it was in the hallway. Shizuo made his way back inside the room. "Did I miss something, why are you 3 afraid of a little humming?"

"Because nobody was humming until the music box broke," Burner said with a frown. Walking towards the exit to the room the teen halted when he felt the floor buckle underneath his feet. "You've got to be kidding-"
Before he could finish his statement or move the floor gave away and the teen found himself plummeting into the darkness below. There was a thud followed by an irritated groan. Salem ran over to the hole and peered inside worriedly seeking out his brother. The raven haired man let out a sigh of relief when a curse was heard followed shortly by a, "Seriously!?"
"Anything broken Blitz?" the older brother asked, still unable to see his brother in the darkness. He wondered faintly how far he'd fallen.
"No!" came back from the hole, echoing eerily. "This is like a scary novel, you guys realize that right?! I swear to everything right in the universe if I die first I'm haunting you guys!"
"Calm down, I'm coming after you so move over," Salem said, thanking his lucky stars that he was a rather thin fellow. There was a scuffling noise that indicated that Blitz had more than likely heeded his words. Sliding his feet into the hole the calgor lowered himself inside before allowing himself to drop.

Shizuo tapped his cigarette above the hole letting his ashes drop. "You do know there are stairs leading down there right?" He blow smoke down the hall judging distance from the lit ashes that had fell. "You dropped a single floor from what I can tell. How you two are not hurt surprises me to no end."

"I didn't fall down on purpose! Besides the stairs are broken from what I see," Burner called back looking at the only staircase in front of them with flames that he held in his palm, if it could even be called that now. All the stairs were in shambles and if they were being technical for a split second Salem had used his spirit beast to get down safely which had only served to unnerve Burner. The middle child didn't much care for his brother's spirit beast or it's ability...Burner got down unscathed simply because he'd fallen from enough heights that he knew how to fall with a margin of grace, though that didn't always save him from a broken bone, but it did help.
"Blitz," Salem said, drawing his attention to a pile of crates in the corner. They seem to have weathered the flames of the fire pretty well. "Let's see if we can't stake these up to get out."

"Well the humming stopped up here... that or whoever, or whatever was dong it is farther away now." He stood turning to Saki. "You okay Saki, you looked a bit shaken up."

"Yeah, just a little spooked is all. Are you two alright down there?" Saki called down the hole. "Do you guys see anyway up from there?"

"Yeah, we're good. We're stacking crates to see if we can use them to climb to the door," Burner called back, grunting when he hefted up another box along with Salem, sliding it into place.
"I think a couple more should do it," his brother informed.

"Would you two hurry up. I want to get out of here." The hallway seemed to close in around them. "Shizuo was that story true you told us really true? You didn't make it up did you."

"Tch, stacking these up isn't as easy as it looks," Burner muttered under his breath. Scooting the last box into place Burner went up first followed by Salem. The door was locked, but it wasn't anything a few good kicks couldn't fix. Busting into the hall the two looked around, noting how very different from the rest of the building this place looked...
"Looks like someone was trying to apply dark arts here," Salem said, placing a hand over his nose at the foul smell that hung like a drape in the atmosphere.
"Let's just keep moving," Burner said, feeling suddenly woozy. Making his way towards the door he opened it, relieved when the atmosphere became light once more as the two exited the hall and went down another.
