To think it had started as a simple family outing, and now Blitz was gone. Those who had done it would pay...Seraphina kept that thought as a mantra in her head as she staggered through the alleyway, her hand pressed to a burn on her side, but not a burn caused by fire. It was from a cold so sharp it might as well have been fire.
Where are the others...? That thought drifted through her head before she hit the ground. The wound had done more damage than she'd thought, it felt like it was spreading too...Breathing heavily the fire calgor tried to get back onto her feet.
"Such a shame," a voice said, cold and detached. "You would make such a beautiful test subject, but your brother will have me busy enough."
She gritted her teeth and managed to open her eyes, only to be met by a familiar face, a face that was on wanted poster throughout all of Falmour. Rumors had spread recently that perhaps he'd been killed, but there stood Deluge, still very much alive.
"You are lucky I am a calgor of my word," he said, walking just out of her reach. "I won't kill you, not yet, but if Blitz gets feisty well...I'm sure you understand the consequences that I must enact."
That, that infuriated her. Nobody threatened her family like that, nobody. She moved to get up only to bite back a cry of pain when the ice grew further up her side; slicing through skin as if it were made of butter. He was being very cautious about this, supplying her pain to keep her distracted and unable to use her fire effectively.
"Where...where is he? What do you...have to gain?" she managed to say through the pain. A question she was sure would have no sane response, but still, perhaps if she could get him talking long enough back up would arrive.
"I see what you are doing," he said voice calm, and she cursed as he caught on almost immediately. Deluge was out of his mind, but he wasn't stupid. "You are more by the books than I thought you'd be. Reports are different from reality though, aren't they?"
He walked forward, the ice digging in deeper, pinning her to the road more firmly, before he stopped just in front of her. Kneeling down he cupped her grime covered face, rubbing his thumb over her cheek gently as icy blue eyes and ember eyes met.
"Until next time, Seraphina Restins."
Then there was nothing but inky blackness before unconsciousness claimed her. When she next surfaced back into consciousness she found herself alone, side still searing with pain.
OOC: Because screw it, I wanted to write as Deluge for a bit. Plus, why not start a little unrest in the Fire Territories?

Shizuo sat at the bar drinking quietly. "A quite day for a change." He mumbled to himself. The musicians were playing some quiet tune in the background as people kept walking in and out. "Not that I'm complaining, been pretty hectic week." First it was that whole business with Burner, then the rumors of that drake, then finally those spirits at the burnt down apartment building. He took one last drink before lighting up a cigarette. "Gods how I miss you." He shook himself out of his stupor and took a puff of his cigarette

Saki sat a new glass in front of Shizuo. "Quit talking to yourself Shizuo." She straightened our her maid uniform and began to wash the used glass. "People are going to think you're crazier then you already are."

She wasn't sure how she ended up at the bar, all that was certain was that the ice had melted, her wound now able to bleed freely. Slumping down just outside of the entrance the calgor leaned her head back, breathing heavily as she pressed her hands to the wound trying to quell the bleeding. The wound was deeper than she'd thought and had done far more tissue damage in the short time she'd talked with the bastard.
"Oh my goodness, you're Seraphina Restins, aren't you?" a terrified citizen asked. The person in question took in the sight of her disheveled state one last time before rushing into the bar. "Anybody a trained medic. Of course if you're drunk right now that won't do us any good, but anyone who is good at patching up people please come outside quickly!"

Saki set down her glass stepping outside. "What seems to be the prob... Oh my god! Quick get her inside." Saki and the citizen carried her into the bar setting her on the table. "Shizuo grab the first aid kit from the back!" She shoved the glasses of the table clearing room for Seraphina. "Your Burner's sister." She had only met her once a few days ago, but she recognized her face.

She must have blacked out there for a moment, because when she next opened her eyes she was on a table in the bar. Several people scurrying around and murmuring as they looked on in confusion and unease. At the question the calgor nodded her head, regretting the decision moments later when the world tilted sideways as nausea caused her stomach to flip.

Shizuo jumped to action running to the back and grabbing the first aid kit. "What the hell happened to her?"

The pain was worsening she realized numbly. Taking in a calming breath the calgor focused on blocking out as much of the pain as she could.
She heard a slamming noise from the entrance to the bar, and swiveled her head over limply to see Salem rushing in. He must have followed the trail of blood. A jolt of worry settled in her heart when she took in the sight of him. He was disheveled, probably looking as horrid as she felt right now. There was a deep gash that she hoped was above his eye and not across his eye but he seemed more worried over her injures than his. Maybe that gash was the worse of it, she sincerely hoped so. The sight of another Restins in this state had murmurs growing louder and a few citizens slipped out, probably to spread the word which would only worsen things.
When he got within range she grabbed the bloodied collar of his shirt, wondering faintly if it was his or somebody else's. Noting the way the blood from the bound on his eye dripped to the front of his shirt and not the collar she doubted it was his. She wasn't sure who she was trying to ground him or herself, but she had to know that he was real and that she hadn't lost another brother. Deluge was a liar after all and couldn't be trusted.
Sensing her unease Salem gently pried her white knuckled fingers away from his collar, instead opting to hold her hand between both of his, rubbing the numb digits in hopes to get blood flowing again and more than likely to provide some form of comfort. The words he spoke next were hollow and maybe even on the verge of hysterics. Salem was always the one to wear his heart on his sleeve and so when something bothered him everyone knew. What he was going to say was going to be bad, "I lost them. Dammit Seraphina I was so close...so close and I lost them...I lost him."

"Salem you're in my light!" Saki pushed him out of the way. "Everybody back up, I need space!" She opened the first aid kit tearing open a disinfectant and pouring it on her wound. "Here drink this." She held a shot of strong alcohol for her to drink. "This is the closest thing to anesthesia we have." The pain must have been intense. She looked horrible.

Salem did as instructed, but from what Seraphina could see he wasn't really registering anything. His usually vibrant blue eyes were dulled, and he turned to look towards the doorway. The disinfectant when it hit her wound, as expected, burned like hell. She downed the shot Saki handed her with a grimace before looking towards Salem, and he looked somewhere between wanting to break down into tears and wanting to break something in half.
"S-Salem," she called out, and he halted, shoulders taut. He didn't look at her, she hadn't expected him to. "Stay put...please..."
All the raven haired calgor offered was a stiff nod.

"Gods this looks bad." Saki mumbled under her breath pulling out the stitching kit. "Don't move okay.... don't want to cause you anymore damage." She gently tugged on the thread and needle sewing up the wound best as she could. "Shizuo check on Salem would you? See how bad that head wound is. I might have to stitch it up to." She shook her head ordering the older man. "I swear your family is the most danger prone people I've ever met."

Seraphina kept as still as she was able. Praying that the alcohol would keep her less aware but at the same time cursing that she needed it in the first place. She didn't want to sit down and rest, she wanted to go after him.
Salem twitched and turned, wiping the cut above his eye, staining his shirt with even more blood. He managed to get his voice just above a whisper "It's not as bad as it looks..."
"Comes with our line...of work," she said to Saki, gritting her teeth against the pain. "Most...of the time..."
"Not today," Salem piped up bitterly from where he slumped on a stool. "Work didn't but our names did."

"Everybody clear out!" She ordered the others that crowded the bar. "This is difficult as it is without people hovering." Saki had a good enough reason for them to leave, but the real underlining reason is that she wanted to make sure nobody heard what the Restins were sharing.

Everyone murmured looking unsure, but thankfully seemed to take the hint. The room fell silent then, save for the harsh pants issuing from Seraphina's wounded form.
Salem sighed shakily, running a hand threw his blood and sweat covered hair. The others, he needed to make sure the others were okay too. Though he was sure that they were. Their father had managed to protect their mother and the two youngest Restins. Blitz had been close, but not close enough to Salem when the attack had come. That was probably by design.
"It was him, wasn't it Seraphina?" Salem asked, probably to make sure. Probably hoping that it wasn't true.
"It...was definitely Deluge," Seraphina said, confirming his fears. "The bastard...talked to me before...I passed out."

Shizuo grabbed a rag and walked towards Salem. "Hold still." He dipped some alcohol on the cloth and wiped the wound clean on his head. "He should be good Saki. You should focus on Sera." The name Deluge hadn't rung any bells with him. "Who is Deluge, and where is Burner?"
