"Nice to hear you laugh for a change Leena. Can't say I've seen you let your hair down like this before." John leaned against the post taking the time to relax while he still could. "You seem so serious most of the time.... though I guess you have to be. Can't imagine what it's like to be in charge of a large force."

Leena cocked her head. "It won't be very hard. You'll still receive basic commands from my self at the front lines and Lethe won't let you fail. The main issue is the tedious paperwork."

"Can't say I'm excited for it. I really wish it didn't have to come to this." He rolled a cigarette between his fingers. "You think some of them will listen to reason, or will it all resort to violence?" John had no desire to attack his former home. There were people he had known for years there. Good hard working people.

"I figure most of the smaller towns will cave faced with our strength but the capitals... May be a tougher nut to crack." It was an understatement to say the least. It would be war. many would die and more will be injured. Their goal would come with a price no matter how they chose to proceed. "But we'll have agents on the inside and some of the best minds out there. It's achievable if we play our cards just right."

John stopped rolling his cigarette in his fingers. He hated the fact that he would be raiding Seaway like the Fire Calgor's did so many years ago. "Hisao will hate me for this." He muttered. Hisao had grown a deep rooted hatred for the fire calgors after that attack. His parent's graves were there. Lilly's parents still lived there. "Let's hope for the best, but prepare for the worst then."

"It's not like we plan to attack any noncombatants. I know some may be hurt in the confusion but it won't be like the raids you've witnessed in the past. It won't be focused on the cities but the armies the cities employ." She reached behind her and snagged a few reports detailing the size of each such force. "I figure they'll most likely venture out to meet us. they'll know that staying fortified in their cities would mean getting their supply lines seized."

"Good." The last rays of light quickly sunk behind the horizon engulfing the camp in night. "Well I think it's about time I get out of your hair commander."

"Leena." She reminded him. She really didn't like the stuffy title. "And just go about your business as usual, john. just tell me when you make up your mind about the suppressants and your friend's situation."

"Will do.... Commander." John walked out and headed to his tent for the night. 'What should I do, what should I do?' He really was unsure about the suppressants. 'Maybe I should just separate from it instead.' He didn't want to dwell on it any longer. 'Let's just see what tomorrow brings.' He laid down on his cot and quickly succumbed to his exhaustion.
