The nurse frowned and shook her head. "Like I said, that's all we found with you sir. My name is Daya, Nurse Daya, and it's no problem, but you really shouldn't be moving."
Mijo watched the exchange with ears perked up.

"I feel fine." He went to get back up feeling horrible. "Where did they find me?" He felt his wounds re-open as he moved to stand up. "I need to go find my scythe." Prodigious couldn't help but feel that his scythe was important. He had flash's of him using it before, flashes of blood and prayer to the gods.

Mijo rocketed into Prodigious' chest in attempts to make him lay back down. Who was he trying to fool? He was just going to make things worse, and the little criel knew it.
"I...look!" she declared. Hopping down from the bed to head out of the clinic. She ran to the waiting room where her master had been dozing, he had been kind enough to postpone their departure so she could check up on Prodigious. Barreling into his chest she managed to wake him up with a snort.
"Hm? Mijo?" the young man mumbled, rubbing at his eyes from beneath his glasses. Sitting up he didn't have much time before Mejo was pulling on his pant leg. After letting out a few chi's the young man stood up and followed after, blinking curiously at her.

Prodigious sat back down ignoring his pain. 'What manner of creature learns to speak?' He wondered. "Nurse where am I again? I'm sorry for my confusion everything is.... lost." He had no other words to describe this feeling of emptiness he felt within his mind. It truly felt like he lost everything except for his name. "How did I end up here?" The question was more directed to himself then to the nurse.

"The Timber Village clinic," she said. "We boarder Falmour. We were hoping you could tell us, but there's no need in troubling yourself over it right now, you really need to rest."
The was the ringing of a bell, indicating that someone had entered the clinic. Walking in-and carrying the scythe as carefully as possible-was Kei, Mijo at his heels. Sitting the weapon down before he hurt himself or somebody else Kei dusted off his hands. "F-Found it w-wedged i-into a t-tree."

Prodigious nodded his thanks. The voice had returned and he was busy trying to quell them. 'These have to be peoples thoughts. I'm hearing the boy speak when his mouth isn't moving.' His black eyes fell on the boy. "What are you thinking right now boy?"

"E-Eh? What a-am I t-thinking about?" he asked blinking in confusion a little taken aback. Well currently he was thinking about why Prodigious wanted to know what he wast thinking about. That seemed a bit strange. "Well, uh, I-I suppose I-I'm w-wondering w-why y-you want to know what I-I'm thinking a-about."

"No before. When you walked in the room. What was the first thing you were thinking about?" Prodigious stared him down with his coal black eyes. "Tell me exactly what you were thinking about."

"J-Just how heavy the s-scythe was and t-that I needed t-to put it down b-before I b-broke something," he said nervously a frown on his face. What was with this guy anyway?

'So it is his thoughts.' Prodigious closed his eyes and focused on quieting the incoming voices. He had been practicing for a few hours while the small creature and the boy have been away collecting his scythe. "Thank you for your help small one. My name is Prodigious... what is yours?"

"W...welcome, I M...Mijo," she said in human tongue, proud that she managed to pronounce her own name right for once. This human was certainly a strange one, but he seemed nice enough.

"I am curious to know how a creature is able to learn our language." He turned back to the boy who had yet to give his name. "Am I to assume you hold no name, or are you simply unwilling to give it?"

It was just what criel were capable of, she didn't know. The only memory she had of her kind were those of her nest, with her mother and her siblings. The next memory she had was of Kei's mother cradling her gently to her chest, the little criel soaked with rainwater and mud that clung heavily to her pelt. Her mother had never had the chance to tell her how they spoke human tongue.
"A t-traveler told m-me she c-could," Kei said softly before he looked at Prodigious a bit flustered. "I-I'm s-sorry my n-name is K-Kei."

Prodigious was finally able to quell the voices down again as he spoke to the boy. He focused solely on the boy and the creature Mijo's thoughts. "Your mother found Mijo covered in mud didn't she? And Mijo your first memory is of your nest is it not?"

Both human and criel exchanged glances before both nodded. That was pretty strange...could he read minds?
