Burner was going to kill them all, and he'd make sure it looked like an accident. Okay, that was a lie. Mom and Dad had nothing to do with it-but they sure as heck could stop this if they wanted to-and Dysis and Colburn were just little kids. So that just left his two older siblings to face his wrath.
It had started after he'd been given a clean bill of health and when his wound had finally healed up. Thankfully his older brother returned from his trip in one piece and Burner was glad to have him back. Those warm feeling of brotherhood eventually died when Salem implemented his master plan not even 24 hours after his return.
Now it could be said that it was Burner's fault. He'd been moping around the manor for longer than the rest of the Restins thought healthy, so the Restins children-with Salem at the lead-decided to implement their own form of medicine to get their brother out of his rather depressing mood. Hugs.
No, not just normal hugs-which even those could get on his nerves if done obsessively-these were super hugs. Ultra bear hugs, the type that almost suffocate their unfortunate victim with unwanted love and affection.
One minute he would be walking undisturbed through the manor, the next minute he would be ambushed by one of his siblings and wrapped up in one as he tried to fruitlessly struggle away. Salem thus far was leading in the "Who can hug Blitzy the most without dying" leader board. Dysis and Colburn in second because they tag teamed. The two held the second place simply because Burner knew how to avoid them, but Salem had a nasty habit of being a freaking ninja. Seraphina was in last because one, she was busy, and two, she was more like him in the hug department.
Still he would find himself talking to his mother in the kitchen and suddenly there she'd be tugging him into her arms. At least her hugs were short and brief-even though they did almost choke the life out of him in those short sessions. Then she'd be talking to mother about today's meal and wouldn't bother him for the rest of the day. Though he was highly suspicious at times because he was pretty sure she was just lulling him into a false sense of security...
Dy and Col's hugs were okay since they could barely muster enough strength between the two of them to choke the life out of him. Though they tended to linger longer out of sheer determination and they both knew Burner couldn't stay mad at them like he could 'Phina and Salem.
Salem's by far were the worst. He wouldn't just bear hug, he would bear hug and then spin around like a top before dropping a disoriented Burner and fleeing the scene.
Today Burner had managed to make it out of the manor without any of his siblings noticing and thanked whoever decided to show mercy on him.

Today was one of the few sparse days Saki had off of work so she decided she would go visit the ailing Burner, but the hospital turned her away saying he had been released. "I don't even know where he lives, let alone where he would be if he isn't at his home." She wondered aimlessly through the streets not really sure what to do with her day off.

Phew, he made it out of the noble district with no issues, things were looking up, but he still couldn't drop his guard. Sapphire eyes looked around warily as he scanned the streets for any sign of his siblings, mostly Salem, when his eyes landed on a familiar form. Since he didn't see her around town often he figured she was probably off the clock. She looked like she was lost in thought and wasn't really paying attention to her surroundings. Hands in pockets the boy approached her as he scanned the crowds for any sign of his siblings. Man he was paranoid...
"You look a bit lost."

"Burner!" Saki nearly jumped out of her skin. "I heard you were out of the hospital when I went to visit you." She smiled at him pulling him into a loose hug. "I'm really happy you're okay." She rarely showed her soft side to people, considering that most tend to stay away from the fiery red head, so she was glad that she was able to be this close to Burner.

Burner stiffened when she pulled him into a hug and his face went ashen for a few brief seconds. At least, at the very, very least she wasn't squeezing the life out of him, so he just gritted his teeth and bared it. His hands were still in his pockets as he gave the area one last scan once she released him.
"Yeah, got out a little while back," he said, frowning when something familiar caught his eye in the crowd, but it disappeared almost immediately after. Had he really been caught that quickly? "Thanks..."
Glancing up towards the buildings he watched as a dark figure-that was unmistakably Salem-ducked behind a chimney on a nearby roof. Seemed like he was going all out today, which made sense, the whole idea had been to get Burner back to his grumpy self. It stood to reason that Salem wanted to get in a few more hugs before Burner really lost his temper. Burner didn't know if he could handle it like a noble or not, but he highly, highly doubted it.

Saki huffed and slightly glared at the boy. "You know you should hug a girl back, I don't do this often..." She looked up to the rooftops where he was staring. "Whats the matter, Caught eye of something you didn't like?"

"Sorry, kind of all hugged out," he grumbled, from the corner of his other eye he saw Salem again, but just like before he disappeared almost instantly after being spotted. The jerk was just toying with him now...At Saki's question the boy replied with a bit of exasperation at his situation. "Yeah, something I really don't like..."
Then there was an almost undetectable shift in the air and the boy leaped to the side, barely dodging his older brother's grasp, but unfortunately Salem's follow up was enough to seize the younger Restins. Arms wrapped under his arms and around his torso snugly as a chin went to rest lightly on top of his head. Burner was bristling like an angry cat as his older brother disregarded the younger's irritation to look at Saki.
"Well if it isn't Saki! Good morning to you," he said with a pleasant smile, not at all minding when Burner tried to dislodge his arms from around him.

Saki tried to keep back a bit a laughter but failed miserably. She liked the older Restin, she found him quite humorous. "Good morning Salem." She bowed and raised back up quickly. "Haven't seen you in awhile."

"It has been a while, hasn't it?" he noted, wincing when he felt teeth testing his arm. He knew Blitz wouldn't seriously bite him, or at least he hoped not. Though he knew they'd been trying his patience for the past week so it was probably up in the air on how Blitz would react. Removing his arm from his brother's grasp the calgor decided to not try his luck and released the younger fire calgor. Once free the boy went to punch his brother in the gut only for Salem to fluidly dodge the blow with a coy smile.
"Really?" he chided with good humor. There was a bit of profanity from Blitz and Salem tried to look hurt. "Language, please, there could be virgin ears here!"
"Shove off jacka-" he cut off as he was pulled into a hug, his voice being muffled by Salem's white button up shirt. The orange haired calgor flailed around for a few seconds before going limp in his brother's arms. Salem blinked before pulling back and watched as his younger brother's head lolled to the side eyes closed.
"Blitz?" he asked, worried when his brother didn't respond, instead remaining limp in his arms. "Blitzy? Oh my God I suffocated him! Blitzy speak to-oof!"
The fire calgor was cut off by an upper cut from Blitz.
"Take that you bastard!"
"Ow ow ow! Blitzy that really hurt!" the older calgor whined as he touched his sore chin.

"You really don't act like a noble Burner." Sake chided the younger calgor in good humor. "You alright Salem? Here let me take a look at it." She raised the older Restins chin looking at it from side to side. "Open up so I can see the inside of your mouth. I'm gotta make sure hot-head over there didn't knock anything loose."

"Don't show him pity! He's the bad guy here!" Blitz bristled as he glared at his brother. Why didn't anybody understand that under all of that nice and civil mannerisms lied pure and unadulterated evil? Okay he was exaggerating, but he'd been tormented by his siblings-mainly his raven haired older brother-none stop for a week. This was bound to happen, and to be honest both Restins had thought the explosion was going to happen a lot earlier. It had been a miracle that he'd lasted this long.
Salem did as Saki instructed and opened his mouth though he was sure Blitz hadn't hit him hard enough to loosen any teeth. In terms of his younger brother's hitting scale Blitz had more or less given him a warning tap.

"I'd say you're good. Though I would refrain from antagonizing your younger brother." Saki gave a soft smile. She usually wasn't this friendly to people. "If you want to keep them good that is. So what's bring you out here Salem? Just wanting to bug your brother." She ruffled Burner's hair a bit as she spoke.

Oh but it was so much fun to antagonize Blitzy, but he realized that he'd hit the boundaries of his brother's restraint. Though both knew that in terms of fighting Salem could wipe the floor with him, he just wouldn't because that just wasn't in the older Restins' personality, and it would be pointless over something so petty.
"Mostly to bug Blitz, yes," he admitted shamelessly. "We've been having a contest, but I have a feeling it's over now."
"Ya think?" Burner muttered at his brother. He shied away from Saki slightly and gave her a half glare, though it lacked it's usual venom.

"And here I thought it was just to see little old me." She joked of course. Saki took a chance to look around them. For once the town was actually quite peaceful. "Thank the Gods everything has been quite around here. I've had enough crazy to last awhile. Speaking of crazy have you seen Shizuo around? I haven't seen him at the bar recently and that's very odd." She directed her question to Burner.

Burner frowned and shook his head. "Nah, can't say I have. He really hasn't been at the bar? Sure isn't like the guy."
Of course what did he really know about Shizuo? Not much when he really sat there and thought about it. Just that he seemed to stir up quite a bit of trouble just like Burner. He snorted suddenly. It was kind of funny all three of them were hot headed individuals. One would think they wouldn't get along at all, but here he was conversing with flaming ears about chain smoker civilly.
"That reminds me, what did he want to talk to me about anyway?" he said more to himself than the others.
