Sina paused for breath, poised high in a dencely covered tree. She was soaked through with sweat and completely worn out. Her thigh was red with blood and she'd acquired several raw cuts in her escape attempts. She was pale from bloodloss and breathless from running. It wasn't even close to dawn yet and she was ready to collapse. She could hear the beasts that led the force that tracked her. They were catching up, and fast. She lept from tree to tree, happy this wood was so closely packed. It sped her escape and made her harder to catch. Almost no one was light enough to travel this high up in the trees. She cursed as her stomach cramped up. Adding that to the list of prolems she'd brought on herself. She hadn't slept much in days, she hadn't eaten, and she' let herself be seriously wounded before hand. She was stupid and she knew it. How she was going to deal with her other mission along with this was a mistery.
She yelped as she nearly missed her footing on a branch. but grabed hold of another and volted even further. The sounds of persuit had faded ao she decided to rest. She carried no food with her and wouln' dare to try the food in this forrest most was poisonous to the living and would kill her faster than the beasts could run. She sighed as she remembered what brought this on. Why didn't she listen to Emmy and stop ignoring her job? She knew why. She hated that place. She'd always been a free spirit and acted as such. She closed her eyes as she decided she wouldn't go back. But that meant death and she knew it.
They were catching up again. She ran. She thought as she escaped. She'd need to find a doctor that could remove her tracker. that was first on the list. then she could openly defy them by using her calgor abilities. As it were, the tracker would alurt them to any manipulating of earth on her part. She snagged her arm on a winding brior and cursed as it ripped at her flesh. Fresh blood sprayed along the tree. forget the tracker, with all this blood about those beasts could keep on her trail forever...
She could tell she was reaching the end of the forrest now. She'd have to circle about now. She didn't want the beasts followind her ito one of the cities. She wondered why the death of countless sivilians worried her now. It never had before. She'd slaughtered countless inocents in her way to get at a mark. The shook it off as she realised her musings had her slowing down. She pushed herself harder and nearly collapsed as she saw the lighing of false dawn on the harison. 'Only one hour left.' She told herself she turned north to circle around.
