"I'll take your silence as a confirmation." He moved slowly trying to keep his wounds from opening. "I am sorry for invading your private thoughts, but I am trying to learn how to shut it off." Prodigious felt tired. He had tired himself off focusing only on their minds. "I'm having trouble with this."

"O-Oh it's a-alright. W-What a f-fascinating a-ability," Kei said, he wondered faintly where an ability like that would come form. Especially from a human no less. Though from what he could tell it appeared as if this man had lost his memories and that was something even more strange. Perhaps he'd suffered head trauma and that had caused amnesia.

"You're right in thinking I have no memories." Prodigious had heard that. "The only thing I have a clear memory of is my name."

Mijo frowned. That must be awful then, to lose one's own memories. She didn't know what she'd do if she ever forgot about her master or Miss Rein.
"Hm...m-maybe someone k-knows you," Kei thought aloud, but more to himself. "T-Though I d-don't t-think t-they know y-you around h-here."
He looked to the nurse for confirmation and she shook her head, proving his thought. Though with no memory Kei didn't know how they'd find someone who did know him. However the items he carried seemed to trigger memories. Perhaps if he did come in contact with more things like that he might be able to regain more of his memories.
"The items y-you carry s-seem t-trigger m-memories, c-considering you r-remember having a scythe. P-Perhaps o-other things w-will too?"

"Maybe." His eyes fell to his scythe. He seemed to remember something about it. There was a small switch that sat along the staff. He flipped it letting the blade fall attached to a chain that ran along the length of the staff. "Looks like I haven't forgotten everything." Prodigious turned to the nurse. "When can I be released?" He asked softly.

"Your wounds need to heal more," the nurse said. "You won't be able to leave until you can move without opening them so easily."

Prodigious nodded silently closing his eyes. He felt very tired and he could use a rest. 'It physically drains me when I try to read minds. An interesting discovery.' He opened his eyes looking to Kei, and Mijo. "Surely you two have somewhere you can go."

"O-Oh u-um yes," Kei said, turning. "C-Come along M-Mijo."
Giving one last look at Prodigious the criel followed after Kei.

Rein's curiosity was maxed out with the rumors she'd picked up while eavesdropping around town. She stepped lightly down the halls of the hospital. 'Seems it's the week for wounded strangers around here.' The bloodied man with amnesia was a hot topic with everyone and Rein was no exception. She wanted to hear his story as soon as he himself could remember enough to tell it.

"O-Oh hello M-Miss Rien," Kei said as he exited the room and noticed Rein heading in it's direction. He smiled lightly. So she must have heard, not that it was surprising. With a town like this news was bound to travel fast.

Rein wasn't startled to hear Kei. "I heard a strange talking fox found him." She giggled. "no one but Mijo could possibly fit that description." She wanted to run up and hug her new friend who'd postponed his travels to help the stranger. 'But that would be bad. He's scared of girls after all.' She giggled again. "You deserve a treat, Mijo. You did very good." She smiled. extremely proud of the small creature.

"Y-yeah," he said. Kei looked down at Mijo with a smile. The little criel felt her ears warm up at the praise she received.
"T..Thank you," she managed, still very flustered.

Rein smiled happily. "And it would seem your quickly getting better at speaking." She giggled. "Soon you'll be better than Kei." She stuck her tongue out at the boy. missing the direction by a little. "You better work hard on that Kei. Or she'll best you in no time flat." She loved teasing Kei. For some reason it felt more fun each time she did so.

"I-I suppose s-she will," he said with a light chuckle. He didn't used to stutter like that, and he earnestly hoped that one day he would stop.
Letting out an amused 'chi' the criel watched Rein's antics with an happy expression.

Rein linked her hands behind her back. The amusement in Kei's voice made him seem cute. She really wished he'd let her 'see him' But being that close let alone touching him would probably be terrible for the boy. "So how's the patient?" She asked to distract herself. though she was genuinely interested in him. 'Someone like me.' She thought. 'people will no doubt feel insecure around him and pity him. they'll avoid him for sure. She smiled. 'He'll get no silly pity from me. I think it's fascinating.' She really couldn't wait to meet him. There were very few people like Rein. She has absolutely no ill will at all. And she has a knack for taking care of people. ironic giving her eyes. 'I wonder if he'll be a friend?' She giggled at the prospect.
