Inrill grumbled as Aiden directed Her around yet another cliff littering the surface of the mountain. She'd not been happy when Aiden Had forced her to remain hidden as He went into town but Knew it was needed and that he's do it again. Aiden stroked Her neck soothingly knowing she was still upset. She tilted her head back accepting the apology. Her young companion nudged her side directing her left and down into a narrow Canyon.
"I guess this as good a place as any to camp." He looked around as he dismounted from his deprintus. "P. You think this will do?" He looked up at his spirit animal. It doesn't look like it'll rain anytime soon and this will keep the wind and chill away." Peanie settled onto the weed-like branched of a barren and dieing tree. 'It is actually Quite warm in here.' She observed. 'I wonder if there are any thermal pools around this mountain?' Aiden smiled but shook his head "I don't think there are any here, P. We would have seen steam remember?" He pictured what they would have looked like from the sky and shook his head. "No I don't think We'll see any around here. It's mostly Earth Calgor training grounds on this mountain." He could hear the vague sounds of clattering stone and violent practice. Someone was using the grounds further down the mountain. Aiden smiled as he planned to spy on whoever it was.

John walked along the wooded area hearing the sounds of combat nearby. He exited the wooded area getting a good look over the training grounds of a group of Earth Calgors. "Not the friendliest bunch towards humans Calgors are." He had faced his fair share of hatred from Calgor's in the past, they wouldn't be any different. "There are others who still hate me in the camp, I can't imagine how these fellows will act towards me. At least Lethe, and Leena appreciate my work." The wolf had helped him make it this far along with the pups. It still amazed him that they traveled so quickly. "Leena said this was the last place her spy's saw the boy. I wonder if he had moved on by now."

Aiden watched from the clouds as a rough bunch of earth calgors sharpened their skills on the terrain. "They don't even notice us." He giggled thinking they had little hope of improvement if a kid could get away with spying in them. He was immediately depressed by his own thoughts. 'You can't help being a child!' Peanie scolded her one time host. 'And they'll notice us strait off if you don't hush!!' Aiden grumbled and hissed under his breath. "I'm not a Child" He whispered mostly to himself knowing his small spirit animal wouldn't listen. Peanie's emotions were rebellious at Aiden's thoughts of calling her small. 'I'm not small!' She demanded as annoyed at the remark as Aiden was at being a child. 'I'm a greater beast!' Aiden giggled and mentally reassured his friend that he knew how awesome she was. Peanie nodded her small bird head at the little air calgor and peered through a gap in their cloud cover at the Calgores they'd come to spy on.

John's ears twitched as a noise caught his ear. He looked around hearing the voice of a child. "I know I heard something." He heard the voice again and looked up catching a figure high in the air. He squinted his eye and caught what looked to be a child. "Could that be him?"

The wolf ignored the human. Since she didn't really know what or who it was he sought and couldn't voice her opinion anyway. The pups had picked up on the atmosphere and crouched low keeping quiet as they watched the strange two-leggers play in the valley.

John took steps back into the woods a fair distance from the clearing, but still in eye-sight of the figure in the sky. He put his fingers to his lips and whistled a high pitch trying to get the kids attention. "He should have heard that."

Peanie and Aiden's glance shot to the source of the signal. Peanie let out a flash of bright light as she flashed into her true form. Giving her and Aiden the chance to dart out of sight. 'I told you we'd be caught!' the bright beast screeched at her host. 'The earth territory won't take having wind spies!'

"Agh!" John covered his eyes looking through the gaps of his fingers. "What the hell is that." He caught the silhouette of... something. John went up the side of a tree reaching the peak of one of the giant trees. "Hey!" He protected his eyes from the violent creatures rays. The boy was closer now, but still a fair distance aways. He hoped he could hear him. "I'm a friendly!"

'He claims he's friendly. or at least i think that's what he meant.' The boy told the Aurai spirit. Peanie's blue tinged light blended well with the skies dark color. 'A human. At least he smells of one. a wounded one.' The bird of blue light sniffed in disdain and displeasure at the idea of speaking to a human. "A human?" Aiden exclaimed. "Here?" He eyed the man clinging to the tree and grinned. "A game indeed." He whistled in return and blew a greeting breeze causing the human's tree to sway widely. He giggled and glided nearer the human man. 'Must you always cause me trouble?' Peanie demanded as she landed lightly on Aiden's hair. Their matching scars in vivid display: Her's red and his silver.

John clung to the tree as it swayed, glaring at the young wind calgor. 'Damn calgors.' He thought to himself as the boy neared him. His attention was brought to the scars the boy and beast both bore. 'That pretty much confirms it.' He put a firm grip onto his tree holding a hand out to the boy for him to shake. "You must be Aiden, my name is John Clarke."

"I don't know anyone by that name, but I came here looking for you." He reached out for balance on the branch he was standing on. "Do you mind if we have this conversation on the ground? It's a little unstable where I'm at." He was struggling to keep his balance on the small limb.

Aiden spun till he was vertical again. "Sure thing human clarke." He dropped like a rock landing lightly at the base. Peanie stayed and stared at the human. She didn't say anything for once but the look she was giving wasn't exactly kind.Aiden whistled joyfully and skipped around the rocks far below. His attention span wasn't very stable either.

He looked back at the spirite beast, he could tell what it was from his own senses. "It's easy to tell you're the boy's spirit beast, and you're a mighty one at that." He bowed towards the creature. "I assure you I'm a friend, and I only need to ask a few questions from your partner." John jumped down from the high tree and let his spirit beast out for just a moment to cushion the blow landing next to the skipping child. "Enjoying yourself?" He asked cheerfully wiping the tree sap from his hands.

Aiden ignored the show of impatience and poked at a large lizard, "I always have fun." He dropped down with a light thud and looked up at the human. "Are you sure You don't know Slate?" Peanie dropped down to follow the human and transformed into her small flit form, landing on Aiden's head as a small winged cloud.
