Rein's smile turned sad. "Are you sire you won't find a guide? Or someone to protect you?" She was terribly worried for her new friends.

"I-I'm s-sure we'll be f-fine," he says with a weak smile. Mijo he was sure, would be perfectly alright. She was by far the more survival oriented out of the duo.
Mijo let out a reassuring 'chi' as she snuggled against Rein. They'd be fine. Nothing would touch her master if she had anything to say about it.

Rein couldn't bring herself to ask to go too. She knew she'd be a hazard. She couldn't see and would be nearly useless in a fight. She sighed any snuggled mijo in return. "You'll at least write me?" She asked with a pout. She'd just met the older buy but would miss him as if they'd been friends for years.

"Of course," he said with a smile. Even if Rein wouldn't be able to see the words in the literal sense he figured her friends-like the woman he'd met-would be more than willing to tell her what they said. He didn't know how to properly write in braille, but he was going to try and learn. If he did manage to make it perhaps he could even give her a gift from Falmour.

Rein was happy kei would write but really wished she was going too. She lofted mijo up and hurried her face in her fur, "you have to keep kei safe OK mijo?" She told her. "Don't let him get in trouble like how we met. Not everyone's as awesome as me." She smiled at her teasing but wanted to cry. "Make sure to let me know where you are. And maybe one day I'll come find you."

Mijo let out a soft coo and rubbed her face against Reins gently. She gave the girl a 'chi' that meant yes in her language.
"I w-will, I p-promise," it was probably silly to promise something when he wasn't sure how things were going to turn out. And yet he still made an oath that they were going to reach the lands of Falmour and meet Rein there, one day. Kei was a man of his word despite his cowardice on many situations.

It was getting late and she fugured kei would want to get some more rest before heading out. "Do you need more supplies?" She asked in forced cheer. She'd bought him a heat controlled jacket as a surprise farewell gift and joke but thought he might need food or water as well.

The young man mentally checked off the things he'd brought with him. Surprisingly enough his backpack had remained unscathed during his near death experience. He figured some sort of creature would've gotten to it before he had, but the supplies had survived. "I t-think I-I'm good."
Shifting he reached out and tentatively touched Rein's arm and just as immediately drew his fingers back as if he'd been burnt. He blinks a bit, wondering why he'd done such a thing. Usually he was terrified to get close to girl's but Rein was different. She was his friend. Looking down at his shaking hand he spoke, "I...I want to say...how g-grateful I a-am...f-for everything...and I'm s-sorry..."

Reim jumped a little when he toutched her. It was only a slight brush but was very unexpected. She was extremely happy for some reason and h smile lit her face again as she lowered mijo back into her lap. "Kei, you and mijo are welcome to whatever I can offer. I hope you know that..." she trailed off and tilted her head in confusion. "But I don't understand... why are apologising?"

A slight dusting of a blush lit his cheeks as he glanced downwards and barely managed to squeak out a 'thank you'. Taking in a cleansing breath, because his nerves were getting the better of him-which really wasn't anything new-the young man perked up when she asked him what he was sorry for.
What was he sorry for? Well, okay that was a good question. He wasn't sure why he'd said it. It's probably force of habit when he really thinks about it. He supposed it was because he figured himself a burden to everyone around him and so generally it was just a natural response to apologize for, well, everything.
"I n-not sure w-why I s-said that," he admits sheepishly.

Rein giggled. "You really shouldn't apologise for nothing kei." She smiled. "People will think your crazy." The pursed her lips as she considered adding something... she decided she would since she wasn't sure when she'd meet keu again. "I used to." She was shy when she admitted it. "I was very... ashamed. Of who I was as well as my eyes..." she smiled "I apologised aaalllll the time!" She laughed. "An old friend got very tired of it and... well he made it clear I was being stupid." Rein put mijo down and got up to walk over to her dresser.she rummaged around in a little chest on it's top until she pulled out a rock. The terquoise stone was looped on a chain and didn't seen all that feminine. She walked over to kei. "Here. This helped." She grinned as she held it out to him. "My friend had to leave, but he gave me this." She didn't explain that since he was honest and left her to walk home alone that night he was forced to leav by her father. "It made me stronger. And I don't apologise any more."

Crazy, a physician would probably classify him as crazy with some of the things he had done in his life. Like trying to travel to Falmour for example. When she said she had been ashamed the boy frowned and continued to listen before making any comment. When the stone was presented to him he carefully picked it up and looked at it.
"I-I'm g-glad it w-was able to h-help y-you M-Miss Rein," he said, smiling down at the turquoise stone. "H-Hopefully I-I can l-learn to s-stop apologizing. A-At least for s-silly r-reasons."

Rein grinned. "I'm sure. And the next time I see you, you'll be tons better!" she laughed and sat on the edge of her bed. "whenever that will be."
