Miranda raised an eyebrow questioningly at the man. "I'm not sure I follow, and don't call me red." She motioned for the group to follow her. "And yes John they are a little ways off, but if we hurry I think we will be able to catch the last one leaving." Thunder boomed over head and a darkness began to settle in around them. "Well at least we'll have the cover of night on our side." Miranda turned her attention to the only child of the group. "So you're a spy huh?"

The girl's stare didn't look like it belonged to a child at all when she leveled at the mercenary. "I go by roach." The child answered. "I'm an orphan from the slums and a leena's eyes and ears within the city. so yes mercenary, I'm a spy." The girl was outright hostile and very dirty. Her hair was cropped like a boys and god only knew when she last bathed. "What's it to you fire-top?" She picked up on Lethe's idea, calling her by her hair. "Bet that mop gets you in some rough spots." She was utterly exprresionless with her wide-eyed stare and yet seemed to be taunting the woman.

OOC: I'm sorry, but what mob?
IC: John fell back a few steps walking beside Lethe. "You two seem to be getting along well enough." He elbowed the man in the arm. "Though I thought that loud one that came with Bain was more your type." It was times like this that let John calm down and be a little more himself. "Why do you like arguing so much anyway Lethe?" He was genuinely curious. It seemed like he got into arguments wherever he went.

Lethe laughed. "I've always been like this." He told john, smiling. "I think if a person can't be riled up, they don't deserve my company!" He held himself high as if proud that he was an annoying A**. "And someone has to be more Hateable than lele!" He laughed at the mention of his sister's reputation. She was one to be respected and feared definitly, but not much liked. It was good for there to be someone who the people could feel was worse than their commander. "People start to think lele's a bad choice for commander and look for the next in line." His grinn grew giant. "The thought of me tak'n the reins scares off most upstarts." He was obviously proud of the fact. OOC: sorry on my phone... I fixed it I meant mop. As in her hair.

"Really?" John was surprised. "Leena's company is enjoyable enough, and she's a very competent leader." Lightning struck a nearby tree and it tumbled to the ground behind them. "That was a little close for comfort." He stated plainly. "I think the storm is getting worse.... I wonder how bad it is in the city." The two woman ahead of them continued to chat aimlessly. "I don't understand how your sister deals with spy's. I prefer the forward approach to much."

Lethe grinned. "You've yet to either disappoint or piss of my sister." He shook his head. "She can be very unforgiving." He sighed. "And as for her love of spies and such... I guess I'm used to it, I'd have to be after is long." He laughed. "Thou it doesn't suit my tastes."

"I didn't piss Leena off when we first met?" John raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Boy how I would hate to see her pissed then." He smiled at the memory of their first encounter. "One of my calmer moments if I say so myself. I almost accepted that fight of yours that day."

Lethe laughed. "If lele got upset over every scuffle link that, there'd be bodies piled higher that this mountain!" He shook his head. "She knows that if she's too strict with her subordenants they'd either break or disband."

Miranda pushed some hair behind her ear at the mention of it from Roach. "The hair does give me some trouble sometimes but I can take care of myself easily enough." She flashed a smile at the small child. "And most of the time it helps distract from what my hands are doing." As she spoke she deftly grabbed a small pouch from the childs side before anyone noticed. "Just like that." She lent her hand giving the girl back her bag.

The child glared at the woman and handed her the silver pin from miranda's own hair. "Anticipate the movements not only from your targets, but your comrads as well." She wss still expresionless as she fell back to lethe. "We should splot here f you still want me to show you." She didn't look at the man but he knew she was ddressing him. Lethe sighed. "It seems this is where we part, john." He told him. "My little mountain guide says we must be off."

John stopped mid-stride and turned to Lethe. "Wait a minute, what?" He turned around fully to face him head on. "I'm supposed to diffuse the situation up there by myself?"

Lethe smiled. "Red, said she'd stop her medleing, you've use of her, her men, and your own." He laughed. "I'll be in the city as well, but much to busy to approve every decision you have to make." He ruffled the kid's soaked hair as he talked to john. "Just think of it as an excersise. Lele needs some assurance that you can lead. You know we'll have to move to the lead camp when all the trouble starts, that would leave you in the position my sister holds over this camp." He grinned. "If you don't strengthen your position and the men's trust in you they'll never fallow you."

"Come on Johnny-boy it will be fun." Miranda pulled along on bigger man's tie seductively. "Besides, like your lovely commander said me and my merry band of miscreants will help you." She could see the last wasted disposal unit coming down now. "Looks like our ride is here."

Lethe looked at it with confusion. "Why are the deprenthus carrying a east cart?" He asked. "I heard that the beasts were proud and honored in the wind territories." The oddity made him suspicious. "Why would creachers of such pride work in waste desposal and how are the nobles agreeing to it?" He scratched his head. "The people who love them must hate such things."

"I think it's because they're off color, and I think most of them are crippled in some capacity." Miranda pointed it out as they came closer. "You see the two pulling the cart are brown, and red. And it looks like the one on the left has a bum leg, while the other has lost its ears. And the Deprentus that were on my cart were partially blinded."
