Joy smiled happily and nodded vigoursly. "Okay the bartender likes me....... but not Maim." She looked to Flint looking at her scars. "Ummm will you tell him that its me and not Maim."
'He obviously wants to know about the scars.' Maim awoke not in control. 'His staring is oddly aggravating.'

Ember sighed. "The bartender wont understand." She told her. "But it doesn't matter. The owner owes me big time and doesn't need to know." She stood and with a short toddling shadow walked to the makeshift stove in the corner and blew softly on the the coles, enticing an emediate brilient red glow. She turned to the side and grabed a backened pot and settled it into the scarlet coles. "Flint." She hinted and her scuried from her side and fetched the bag he'd gotten previously. Ember accepted the bag as Flint returned to being her small shaddow. She pulled a couple of eggs and cracked them into the pot and pulled out a delicious sizzle.

Joy walked to Ember standing on her tip toes to look in the pot. "What kind of eggs are you making Ember?" She was excited. Joy hadn't had an actual meal for quite some time now. She sniffed fillings her nose with the delicious smell of the eggs.

"hmm." Ember said vaigly as she took an old mettle spatula and whickly mixed the eggs then threw in a handfull of sausage, cheese, and dunped a small bag of spices. She smiled at the delicious aroma as she stretched up and used the tool to chop at the sausage and mix the thin spices.
Flint sniffed excitedly as his belly grumbled in anticipation. Ember wasn't the best cook but she'd learned alot from working in the rebel camps. 'Much better than the chared cat meat she used to make.' He thought as her recalled the first time he'd met with her.

Joy turned to Flint who still hadn't moved. She walked slowly towards him and sat quite a ways away from him. "Do you like eggs to Flint?" Joy spoke quietly as to not frighten him. "Do you want to play a game?.... I know alot of fun games that you might like."

Flint watched her warily as she spoke to him directly, mistrust obvious in his large, causious eyes. He hid behind ember's robes and watched her silently from behind his messy fringe of golden hair.
"He wont react." Ember anounced as she Stired her nearly finished meal. "He's almost as mistrusting as I am, and won't speak to you untill he's decided rather you're a danger to us or not." She reached behind her to pet the small boy's head. "Bowls?" She whispered and with one last glance at their guest he scurried to comply.

"Reminds me how Joy used to act around new people." Maim popped her neck as she cranked her neck left and right. "Feels good to be in control." She flexed her tiny fingers. "Damn this tiny body! I would be able to do more in a mature form!" Maim quickly stood stretching her muscles. "I heard that a city block sunk today.... you know anything of this Ember?"

Flynn walked the streets of Kalama city wondering how he would be able to help Lazuli find his sister. "This is good as place as any to start looking for your sister little one." He turned smiling looking for Lazuli but finding that she wasnt there. "Little one?..... Lazuli?.... Where has that child gone to?" He wondered aloud.

Where had the old man wandered off to? For an old man he could certainly disappear quickly. Lazuli frowned as she dodged around several people who paid her no heed. She counted her blessings for this. After all she really didn't want to draw any unwanted attention. Looking around she finally spotted the man's figure. Without another thought she gave chase just as she heard him wondering about her whereabouts.
"I'm here," she piped up from his side as she looked around anxiously.

Flynn smiled. "There you are." He turned to let Lazuli catch up to him. "You know you really shouldn't run off like that. You just about gave this old man a heart attack." Flynn continued to smile as he joked playfully. "Now as I was saying, do you think this place is as good as any to look for your sister?"

She nods, because she doesn't know where else to look. This place wasn't exactly small...Looking about she wasn't sure where to go or what to do. Rubbing her arm idly she glanced about herself trying to decide where to check first.

Ember led her two tag-a-longs into the darkened bar. it was much too early for any information, but she needed to have a talk with the owner.

Flynn walked into the bar. "I know this isn't the perfect place for a child, but they do serve non-alcoholic beverages here. And they have the best food here." He knew this since he had visited this city in his travels many times in the past. Flynn led Lazuli to a small booth near the entrance of the bar where he flagged someone over to order some decent food before they went in search for Lazuli's sister. "Also bar's are good places for information, I bet we can find someone here who has at least heard of your sister." He smiled hopefully at Lazuli.

Ember had left her companions in her usual shadowed booth instructions to keep a strictly low profile. She now sat with the owner in the rear office discussing possible payment and trading intel. this particular barkeep was one of leena's best in Ember's opinion. He may be a little flighty and odd, but he had very sharp ears and knows how to keep a secret.

She nodded once as she stayed close to Flynn not exactly liking it here but figuring it wasn't the worst place in all of Falmour she had ever been. She sat down and nodded again, yes there might be good information here. "I hope so..."
